I don't really have anything for you guys yet, but I'll be participating in some Halloween festivities this week, and so I should have some pictures and stories from that in the near future. Plus, I'd like to give my digital camera (briefly mentioned here) the ultimate test: photographing Lehigh's campus at night. I'll try to do that sometime this week, but it might get pushed off to next week, as I have two tests this week. Finally, I'm testing a neat extension to Firefox that I found called "Performancing" that allows me to update my blog while browsing the web; it kind of does a split screen thing where the web page I'm viewing is in the top half of the browser and the blog post I'm crafting is in the bottom half. It makes tasks such as inserting links much easier; I can go to the website that I'm linking, copy the link, and put it into my post directly without having to switch between Microsoft Word (where I normally write my posts because of spellchecking and whatnot) and Firefox. I've found at least one deficiency: no spellchecking. Bummer. Otherwise, I think it'll be somewhat useful, so I'm using this post as a trial run for it.
Now, while I haven't gone to any Halloween parties yet, I did some socializing this weekend, contrary to my expectation of spending the entire weekend in my room. One of my alumni friends was here on Friday night, so I met up with him and some others, and we hung out, got some pizza, and helped him with costume shopping (he went as Dr. McNinja, one of the best costume ideas ever). On Saturday night, I played a game of Risk with several friends, something I hadn't done in quite some time (I got second, mainly because the winner decided from the beginning to spare me), and then car pooled over to a diner afterwards. So yeah, other than those two events, it's been a fairly quiet weekend for me.
I also managed to find someone else to go with me to see Lehigh's production of "Inherit the Wind" on Friday, so I'm looking forward to that. And Saturday, my parents will be coming to visit, and we'll be attending that day's performance of Carmina Burana (Facebook link). Between now and then, there are those two tests that I mentioned, plus I'll be helping make the second exam for the class that I'm TAing. Busy busy busy, as usual. But I'll try to make time for you in all of this, probably next weekend.
Huh, guess I had something to talk about after all.

Yeah, one of my friends dressed as Dr McNinja, too - pretty good job, if I may say. As for me:

Go American Gladiators! To say it was cold that day would be an understatement. Still, we ran in our short shorts, and won second place for best costumes!
Happy halloween!
