Many Thanks

I'm back at home until Tuesday for my school's fall break, and I want to thank everyone who made my birthday (three days ago) and my visit to College Park (two days ago and yesterday) memorable. In particular:
- Everyone who posted on my Facebook wall (I tried to reciprocate, let me know if I missed you)
- Tim, Nick, Will, and Kirk for hosting an amazing party on the evening of my birthday (although Will conspired to get me plastered by letting me only drink shots, I foiled him by pacing myself properly, so nah!)
- My roommates for accompanying me to said party and announcing that it was my birthday, thus transforming it unofficially into a birthday party
- Wahab and Co. for hosting me at their apartment in College Park, for taking me to the Indian cultural dance party (I forget the name of it), and for showing me around campus

I don't have any pictures of any of this yet, but I'm sure they'll trickle in eventually (Wahab, I'm looking at you). Other momentous occasions I've neglected to mention:
- Two weekends ago (not including this one, I think), I went to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire (continuing until Oct. 28th) for the second time ever. I had forgotten how expensive it was, but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I know some pictures were taken there, and I'm still waiting for those too (Joe, you're on notice!).
- Last weekend, I attended Celtic Fest several times, mostly in conjunction with my friend Tom's birthday celebrations. From what I observed, Celtic history consisted of copious amounts of drinking and throwing heavy objects; I guess that's all they had to do back then. To Tom, Kat, and their friends, thanks for letting me tag along.

So due to all this partying, college has been a blast. Unfortunately, it means I've also been putting off my longer term work, such as a research paper that's due on Oct. 11th. Guess what I'll be doing for the rest of break? But despite how stressful these next few days will be, I wouldn't change any of the decisions I made. Life is about finding balance, and at least for the moment, I think I've found mine.

I'm on notice? Eek! I imagine your On Notice list must look something like this now.

I'll have to do something about posting those pictures. Stupid Lehigh taking my web space away...
