Congratulations, Democrats: the House is yours. Although it's doubtful, in the morning, you may even have the Senate. You now have a say in our government once more.
The question is, what are you going to do with it? Are you going to offer an alternative and hopeful vision to the Bush administration's incompetent and fear-mongering leadership? Or are you going to simply oppose the Bush administration at every turn and prevent our country from moving forward? Or, even worse, are you going to continue to remain spineless and go along with our current direction? We, the voters, have given you the power you wanted; it's up to you to fulfill your promises to us and your duty to this country.
Still, go ahead and enjoy your victory. But don't forget that there's work to be done.
