Jay's Kinda Monthly Rant:
Yeah, about that rant I was supposed to do back in June... Honestly, since work lasts from 8-5 every weekday, I haven't felt like spending the (relatively, compared to last summer) little free time I have on a rant. Let me reassure you that my brain hasn't simply stopped functioning this summer, and so I haven't had any material for rants. While in many aspects, this has been my best summer ever, it has also been one of lots of introspection, soul searching, and all that good stuff. Do I feel like talking about it? Not tonight, but maybe some weekend in the near future when I have more time. I'll try to do another rant before I go back to college and go back on a "Kinda Weekly" schedule, but no promises; these rants come secondary to life.
Speaking of life, the job hinted at above, if you don't already know, is an internship in the Information Technology department of Perdue. The last two weeks, Perdue sent me on a business trip to some of their facilities in Virginia and North Carolina, which was very informative and fairly productive (as productive as this job allows me to be, anyway, considering it mostly involves following people around, listening, and asking questions). In addition, the trip had an almost unreal aspect to it, which I would like to describe in some detail, but, unfortunately, I have to leave for a movie party in about half-an-hour, so I have not the time. Maybe I'll do a real rant this weekend, if I can fit it into my somewhat hectic and frantic summer (once again, comparatively to last summer); I've never been this socially active or sacrificed 40 hours a week for work before, and both of these milestones are occurring in the same summer. So, real rant later, movie party now. Basically, this was just to assure my readers (the three of you are great) that neither I nor my subprofile are dead. And there was much rejoicing...
